At Voyager Care, we are proud to be a neurodiverse-owned and run organisation. Lived experience sits at the heart of everything we do, shaping how we support, connect, and show up for the people we work alongside. It gives us a genuine understanding of the challenges participants may face — and a deep appreciation for the growth, independence, and joy that can flourish when the right supports are in place.
We’re not here to be “just another provider.” Voyager Care is a community built on respect, inclusion, and meaningful connection. Our mission is to deliver personalised supports that empower participants to live life on their terms — both in their day-to-day routines and within the wider community.
We take the time to truly understand each participant’s preferences, interests, and goals, ensuring support is tailored to what matters most to them. By focusing on strengths, choice, and confidence, we aim to support every individual to build self-belief and move towards their fullest potential.
THE VOYAGER STORY
Voyager Care was created with a simple belief: support should feel human. Too often, disability services can feel transactional or impersonal — where participants are matched with workers who don’t truly understand them, and families are left feeling disconnected from the process.
We set out to do things differently. From the very beginning, our focus has been on support that is personal, empowering, and genuinely participant-led. As Voyager Care has grown, that commitment has remained at the core of everything we do.
Today, we are proud to be a trusted, values-driven service that celebrates individuality, embraces diversity, and places participants — always — at the centre of every decision.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe that:
Relationships come first.
The strongest support is built on trust, understanding, and genuine connection between participants and their support workers.
Support should be flexible.
No two journeys are the same. Our supports are tailored to each individual’s goals, preferences, and cultural background — and adapt as needs change.
Inclusion truly matters.
We create safe, welcoming spaces where people feel accepted, respected, and free to be themselves.
Growth happens one step at a time.
From learning new skills to building confidence, we support progress at a pace that feels right for each participant.
Families and carers are valued partners.
We work closely with families, guardians, and other professionals to ensure supports are consistent, collaborative, and holistic.
THE VOYAGER CREW
Voyager Care is led by a small but passionate team of support workers and staff who share the same core values: kindness, inclusivity, and a great sense of humour. We proudly call ourselves a crew of legends, because we believe support work should be rewarding, uplifting, and — yes — enjoyable for everyone involved.
Every team member is carefully trained, holds all required checks (including WWCC, First Aid, National Police Clearance, a valid driver’s licence, and appropriate vehicle insurance), and brings their own unique skills, interests, and personality to their role. Whether it’s cooking, gaming, sport, art, or simply having a good chat, our team is made up of people participants can genuinely connect with.
GROWING TOGETHER
Our goal is to support every participant to reach their fullest potential. We celebrate progress in all its forms — from mastering a new recipe, to building friendships, speaking up with confidence, or taking steps towards greater independence.
At Voyager Care, we do more than provide support. We create opportunities, build confidence, and empower participants to live meaningful, fulfilling lives on their own terms.
CARE, THE VOYAGER WAY
WHAT WE DO
At Voyager Care, support looks different for everyone — and that’s the way it should be. We offer a wide range of supports that can be personalised to suit each participant’s goals, interests, and needs.
-
We provide one-on-one assistance with daily living to help participants build independence and confidence in their everyday routines. This can include:
Personal care and hygiene support
Assistance with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
Help attending appointments and managing daily schedules
Community access for shopping, recreation, and social activities
Goal-focused support, such as working on independence, mobility, or communication skills
-
Our group supports are small and inclusive, allowing participants to connect in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. Groups encourage socialisation, teamwork, and personal development while having fun.
TUESDAY – COOKING GROUP:
Led by a qualified chef, participants work together to plan and prepare meals from scratch. Sessions focus on nutrition, kitchen safety, budgeting, and teamwork — followed by enjoying the meal together in a relaxed, social setting.
A small weekly contribution of $8–$13 covers shared grocery costs.WEDNESDAY – GAMING GROUP:
A relaxed and inclusive group centred around shared interests. Participants enjoy console gaming, classic board games, and tabletop games in a supportive environment that encourages social connection, teamwork, and problem-solving. This group provides a low-pressure space to build friendships and confidence through play.
THURSDAY – LIFE SKILLS GROUP:
A flexible, community-focused program covering budgeting, daily living skills, teamwork, and practical outings such as sports, arts activities, or local excursions. These sessions are designed to build real-world confidence, encourage independence, and support meaningful social connections.
FRIDAY – DUNGEONS & DRAGONS GROUP:
Our Dungeons & Dragons Group is a structured, beginner-friendly tabletop role-playing experience led by experienced Dungeon Masters. Participants create characters, collaborate on storytelling, and work together to solve challenges — all while developing communication, imagination, and social skills.
Participants are also welcome to try their hand at being a Dungeon Master if they’d like, with guidance and support provided. A small contribution may be required to cover shared dinner during the session. -
We believe that meaningful experiences happen when participants are supported to engage with their wider community. Outings can include:
Recreational trips such as bowling, mini-golf, or swimming
Outdoor activities like visits to the park
Annual highlights such as the Perth Royal Show or Christmas Lights Tour
Social opportunities like movie days, themed events, or group picnics
These outings are always supported with safety, fun, and inclusion in mind.
-
We recognise the vital role that families and carers play in every participant’s journey. That’s why we prioritise open and respectful communication, which includes:
Regular updates on participant progress and achievements
Clear communication about schedules, group activities, and contributions
Involving families in planning where appropriate
Acknowledging the role of carers and offering reassurance, collaboration, and support
WHY CHOOSE VOYAGER CARE?
Choosing the right support provider is one of the most important decisions for participants and their families. At Voyager Care, we believe our lived experience, values, and approach set us apart. Here’s why families and coordinators choose us:
-
We bring firsthand knowledge of what it means to live with disability and neurodiversity. This perspective helps us design supports that are truly participant-centred — built on empathy, respect, and real understanding rather than assumptions.
-
We know that the right relationship between a participant and a support worker can change everything. That’s why we take time to learn about each participant’s personality, interests, routines, and goals before matching them with staff. This creates stronger connections, better outcomes, and a support experience that feels natural, not forced.
-
Our group programs are deliberately kept small to ensure that everyone feels comfortable, supported, and included. This means:
Participants aren’t “lost in the crowd.”
Staff can provide more individualised attention.
Group dynamics stay positive, safe, and fun.
This approach is especially supportive for participants with anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or those who find large social settings overwhelming.
-
Our staff are more than just support workers — they are compassionate, creative, and highly skilled professionals. Each team member has the required training, checks (WWCC, First Aid, NPC, driver’s licence, insurance etc.), and brings their own passions into their work, whether that’s cooking, gaming, sport, art, or mentoring. They are chosen not only for their qualifications but for their ability to connect with participants as equals.
-
We meet and exceed the NDIS Practice Standards, Quality Indicators, and Code of Conduct. Our policies cover everything from participant rights and incident reporting to infection control and privacy. For families, this means peace of mind knowing our services are safe, accountable, and fully compliant with WA and national regulations.
-
We work in partnership with families, carers, and allied health professionals to ensure supports are consistent and effective. Families are always kept in the loop, and their knowledge and experience are respected as part of the care team.
-
We believe support should be enjoyable as well as meaningful. Whether it’s cooking a new recipe, going on an outing, or trying a new game, we create experiences that build confidence, skills, and friendships — while keeping things fun and engaging.
-
Being based in Wembley, we’re proud to be part of the local community. From community outings to special events like our Open Day or Christmas Lights night, we encourage participants to be active, visible, and connected members of their community.
