THURSDAY LIFE SKILLS GROUP

THURSDAY LIFE SKILLS GROUP

Our Life Skills Group supports participants to build confidence and independence through practical, real-world skills. In a relaxed and supportive environment, participants learn everyday skills such as communication, problem solving, organisation, and community participation while connecting with others and building friendships.

WHEN & WHERE?

Day: Thursdays

Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Location: 88 Burswood Road, Burswood 6100

WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT

Every Thursday, we dive into hands-on activities that make real-life skills simple, achievable, and fun. From budgeting for groceries to planning meals, practicing public transport, or building confidence in conversations, every session is designed to give you practical tools for independence.

But this group is about so much more than skills. It’s about:

  • Confidence → feeling proud of what you can do

  • Connection → making friends and building trust

  • Fun → learning in a space filled with laughter and creativity

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT EACH WEEK

No two Thursdays are ever the same! Sessions include:

  • Practical learning → cooking, budgeting, shopping lists, time management

  • Role-play & games → practicing real-life scenarios in a safe, supportive way

  • Creative projects → art, problem-solving challenges, teamwork activities

  • Community outings → putting skills into action (like using public transport or navigating shops)

  • Social time → building friendships and confidence in a relaxed, low-pressure environment

WHY CHOOSE OUR THURSDAY LIFE SKILLS GROUP?
