On 2 October 2025, the Voyager Care team and our awesome participants enjoyed a fun and memorable day out at the Perth Royal Show, held at Claremont Showground.

The Perth Royal Show is a much-loved Western Australian tradition, offering a vibrant mix of entertainment, agriculture, food, rides, live shows, and interactive experiences. For many of our participants, it was an exciting opportunity to experience something new, revisit familiar favourites, and take part in a large-scale community event in a supported and inclusive environment.

Our visit focused on creating a positive, enjoyable experience that balanced excitement with comfort, choice, and individual support needs. Participants were supported to explore the Show at their own pace — from animal exhibits and showbags to food stalls, displays, and the lively atmosphere that makes the Royal Show such a highlight of the year. Throughout the day, the Voyager team provided guidance, reassurance, and practical assistance, ensuring everyone felt safe, supported, and included.

Community outings like this play an important role in building confidence, independence, and social connection. Being able to attend events of this scale offers valuable opportunities to practise navigating busy environments, making choices, managing sensory input, and sharing experiences with others — all while having fun and creating positive memories.
