At Voyager Care, we are proud to be a neurodiverse-owned and run organisation. Lived experience shapes everything we do — giving us unique insight into the challenges participants face, as well as the opportunities for growth, independence, and joy when the right supports are in place.

We don’t see ourselves as “just another provider.” We’re a community built on respect, inclusion, and connection. Our mission is to provide personalised support that empowers participants to thrive in daily life and in the wider community.

We take the time to truly understand our participants preferences, interests, and needs, ensuring that our support is tailored to each unique situation. Our goal is to inspire our participants to reach their fullest potential, fostering self-belief and confidence in every endeavor.

Our Story

Voyager Care began with a vision to create a service that felt different. Too often, disability support can feel transactional or impersonal. Participants may be matched with support workers who don’t understand their needs, or families may feel left out of the loop.

We wanted to change that. From the very beginning, we’ve worked to make support personal, empowering, and participant-led. Today, Voyager Care has grown into a trusted, values-driven service that celebrates individuality, embraces diversity, and always puts participants at the centre.

Our Philosophy

We believe that:

  • Relationships come first. Support works best when there’s trust, understanding, and genuine connection between participants and support workers.

  • Support should be flexible. Every participant’s journey is unique — so our supports adapt to individual goals, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.

  • Inclusion matters. We create spaces where people feel welcome, accepted, and free to be themselves.

  • Growth happens step by step. Whether it’s learning a new skill or building confidence, we support participants to progress at their own pace.

  • Families and carers are partners. We collaborate with families, guardians, and other professionals to ensure supports are holistic and consistent.

Our Values

Our core values guide everything we do:

  • Respect — Every participant deserves to be treated with dignity and valued as an individual.

  • Inclusion — We embrace neurodiversity, cultural diversity, and individuality.

  • Empowerment — We help participants build the skills, confidence, and independence to live life their way.

  • Compassion — We approach every situation with care and understanding.

  • Joy — Fun, connection, and happiness are central to all our programs.

Our Team

Voyager Care is led by a small but passionate team of support workers and staff who share the same values: kindness, inclusivity, and a good sense of humour. We call ourselves a crew of legends, because we believe support work should be rewarding, uplifting, and fun.

Every team member is carefully trained, holds required checks (WWCC, First Aid, NPC, driver’s licence, car insurance), and brings their own unique skills and interests. Whether it’s cooking, gaming, sport, art, or just having a chat — our team has someone each participant can connect with.

Our Goal

Our goal is to inspire every participant to reach their fullest potential. We celebrate wins big and small: mastering a recipe, making a new friend, speaking up with confidence, or building independence.

At Voyager Care, we don’t just provide support — we create opportunities, build confidence, and empower participants to live their best lives

Who We Are

What We Offer

At Voyager Care, support looks different for everyone — and that’s the way it should be. We offer a wide range of supports that can be personalised to suit each participant’s goals, interests, and needs.

  • We provide one-on-one assistance with daily living to help participants build independence and confidence in their everyday routines. This can include:

    • Personal care and hygiene support

    • Assistance with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation

    • Help attending appointments and managing daily schedules

    • Community access for shopping, recreation, and social activities

    • Goal-focused support, such as working on independence, mobility, or communication skills

  • Our group supports are small and inclusive, allowing participants to connect in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. Groups encourage socialisation, teamwork, and personal development while having fun.

    • Cooking Groups 🍳

Led by a qualified chef, participants work together to plan and prepare meals from scratch. They learn about nutrition, kitchen safety, and teamwork — and then enjoy eating their creations together. A small weekly contribution of $8–$13 covers shared grocery costs.

    • Gaming Groups 🎲🎮

Whether it’s tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons, console gaming, or classic board games, this group promotes imagination, teamwork, and problem-solving. It’s also a safe space to connect with others who share the same interests.

    • Life Skills Groups 🌟

A flexible program covering budgeting, teamwork, and community-based activities such as sports, arts, or outings. These sessions focus on building confidence in real-world situations, fostering friendships, and learning practical skills for everyday life.

  • We believe that meaningful experiences happen when participants are supported to engage with their wider community. Outings can include:

    • Recreational trips such as bowling, mini-golf, or swimming

    • Outdoor activities like visits to the beach or Kings Park

    • Annual highlights such as the Perth Royal Show or Christmas Lights nights

    • Social opportunities like movie days, themed events, or group picnics

These outings are always supported with safety, fun, and inclusion in mind.

  • We recognise the vital role that families and carers play in every participant’s journey. That’s why we prioritise open and respectful communication, which includes:

    • Regular updates on participant progress and achievements

    • Clear communication about schedules, group activities, and contributions

    • Involving families in planning where appropriate

    • Acknowledging the role of carers and offering reassurance, collaboration, and support

Why Choose Voyager Care?

Choosing the right support provider is one of the most important decisions for participants and their families. At Voyager Care, we believe our lived experience, values, and approach set us apart. Here’s why families and coordinators choose us:

  • We bring firsthand knowledge of what it means to live with disability and neurodiversity. This perspective helps us design supports that are truly participant-centred — built on empathy, respect, and real understanding rather than assumptions.

  • We know that the right relationship between a participant and a support worker can change everything. That’s why we take time to learn about each participant’s personality, interests, routines, and goals before matching them with staff. This creates stronger connections, better outcomes, and a support experience that feels natural, not forced.

  • Our group programs are deliberately kept small to ensure that everyone feels comfortable, supported, and included. This means:

    • Participants aren’t “lost in the crowd.”

    • Staff can provide more individualised attention.

    • Group dynamics stay positive, safe, and fun.

This approach is especially supportive for participants with anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or those who find large social settings overwhelming.

  • Our staff are more than just support workers — they are compassionate, creative, and highly skilled professionals. Each team member has the required training, checks (WWCC, First Aid, NPC, driver’s licence, insurance etc.), and brings their own passions into their work, whether that’s cooking, gaming, sport, art, or mentoring. They are chosen not only for their qualifications but for their ability to connect with participants as equals.

  • We meet and exceed the NDIS Practice Standards, Quality Indicators, and Code of Conduct. Our policies cover everything from participant rights and incident reporting to infection control and privacy. For families, this means peace of mind knowing our services are safe, accountable, and fully compliant with WA and national regulations.

  • We work in partnership with families, carers, and allied health professionals to ensure supports are consistent and effective. Families are always kept in the loop, and their knowledge and experience are respected as part of the care team.

  • We believe support should be enjoyable as well as meaningful. Whether it’s cooking a new recipe, going on an outing, or trying a new game, we create experiences that build confidence, skills, and friendships — while keeping things fun and engaging.

  • Being based in Wembley, we’re proud to be part of the local community. From community outings to special events like our Open Day or Christmas Lights night, we encourage participants to be active, visible, and connected members of their community.
