About Me:
Hey, I’m Jarrod! I’d describe myself as an easy-going, friendly, and open-minded person who’s always up for trying something new. I enjoy connecting with people, learning about their interests, and finding fun and creative ways to make each day meaningful. I’m a big fan of all things nerdy – from Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering to gaming and reading in my downtime. I love bringing that same imagination and enthusiasm into my work by helping participants build confidence, social connections, and independence through shared experiences. Being part of Voyager Care allows me to combine what I love most: helping others, encouraging creativity, and having fun along the way.

Why did I become a Support Worker?
I decided to become a support worker to take a new path in life – one where I could help people and make a positive difference. Supporting others to reach their goals and build confidence is something I find incredibly fulfilling. It’s rewarding to know that I can be part of someone’s journey and contribute to their growth and independence.
What I love about my job:
What I love most about being a support worker is getting to meet new people and build genuine connections. Everyone has their own story, and I enjoy learning from each person I support. Helping participants feel heard, valued, and supported – while having fun along the way – is what makes this job so special to me.
